christmas recovery

Well Christmas is over and I am tired. On Christmas Eve I went to morning church with my family then we went to Steve's aunts for dinner and presents. It was a nice night, not as crazy as it has been in the past. Our 2 God-sons (4 and 6) were there which made opening presents a little entertaining. Got home about 10:30pm.

On Christmas morning Steve and I opened a couple of presents from family and each other. Then Corinne (my mother-in-law) came up for breakfast about 10:30am. At about 2:00pm we headed to High River where my aunt was hosting dinner. If I counted right there was 17 people there. (Steve, me, dad and his wife -Helen, Helen's 2 daughters, grandma, grandpa, Howard, Jane, Christopher, Hannah, Lynn, Mark, Sam and Tessa. the other person, I am sorry but I don't remember her name but she is Sam's taekwondo teacher. Our family believes that there is always room for one more.) Not the biggest group but big enough. After dinner we all played pass the phone around speaking to uncle Kevin in London ON., uncle Rick in Medicine Hat and my baby brother Stef in Edmonton. Once everyone had a chance to talk to everyone and the turkey kicked in we left there about 9:00pm.

On Boxing Day my dad came to picked Steve and I up at 10:00am (no we did not go shopping- please I had my father and husband with - they do not "do" shopping) off to the Max midget AAA hockey tournament. Seeing as Stef has left, we have to fill in for the annual trip to the games. I got home about 5:00pm and was absolutely frozen. I spent my night trying to warm up.

I have spent the last couple of days cleaning house and getting things together for Steve's birthday party on Saturday night. There is a lot of whispering around here and he doesn't like it. Steve is trying everything to get me to tell him what is going on. He knows where it is and who is all coming but that is it. I can keep a secret. On my next post I will let you all know the secrets.

So today I have sent him to play video games with Keith (his cousin) and the 2 little guys and then he will be going to poker. At least he is out of my hair and not asking me every 2 seconds what the secrets are.

Hope you had a great Christmas and have a safe new years.

Let me guess you went and at behind the net by the zamboni entrance, Dad had nachos and beef on a bun for lunch. Dad and I have had some great times at that tournament but whats this 10 o clock stuff we used to get there by at least 9 and would stay for the last game that started at 6. I gope you had fun on my behalf and I will have to come home to fill my spot some year.
